Join us for this unforgettable keynote fireside chat, which will be moderated by Sam Hyun, as they reflect on the power of owning our stories, honoring the communities that raised us, and forging space for AAPI creators in media and beyond.
Welcome Reception Speaker
Sheetal Sheth
We are excited to welcome acclaimed actress, and author Sheetal Sheth as the Keynote Speaker for our Welcome Reception at the 2025 NYS AAPI Summit.
A true trailblazer, Sheetal has carved out a powerful legacy in film, television, and beyond. Sheetal emerged at a time when few South Asians were visible in Hollywood — and defied the odds by refusing to change her name or compromise her identity.
A cancer veteran and outspoken advocate, Sheetal brings a message of resilience, authenticity, and courage. Her presence at our Welcome Reception sets the tone for a Summit rooted in owning our stories and building power from the margins.
